Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti - "Baby"

Ariel Pink covered the song "Baby" from the 1979 album, "Dreamin' Wild", from Donnie and Joe Emerson. When this record came out there were around 1000 copies made but it developed a following and it has since been reissued/remastered. Hopefully with the same cover! It really is an amazing slow jam. I would love to get my hands on that original vinyl. Check out Ariel Pink's version followed by the original below.

East Coast Canadian rocker Matt Mays has just released the lead single for his new album Coyote, which is set for release on September 4th. It's been 4 long years since Matt's last album Terminal Romance, so I am definitely excited to see what these new songs bring.

The new song is called Take it on Faith, and you can stream that below:

Yeasayer - Fragrant World

yeasayer-fragrant-world

Yeasayer's new album Fragrant World is set for release on August 21st via Secretly Canadian. Fragrant World is the follow up to the much loved and hated, Odd Blood, so it should be interesting to see the direction they take with this album. Although Yeasayer is definitely not a band to adhere to any particular formula. Nonetheless check out the first single "Longevity" below as well as amazingly strange "Ambling Alps" from Odd Blood.

Wild Belle

This brother and sister duo from Chicago received a lot of attention at SXSW after they were labelled as a ‘Band to Watch’ by The Guardian UK and NME. Right now Wild Belle only have their self-released 2-track debut out and I haven't heard anything about an album release date. Check out "Keep You" here:
