Divine Fits - A Thing Called Divine Fits
I have been meaning to post about Divine Fits for some time now. Their first two singles were released a while ago and now their whole album is up for stream on NPR, First Listen. Divine Fits is composed of Britt Daniels of the awesome band Spoon, Canadian Dan Boekner of Wolf Parade and Sam Brown who plays in Columbus.
Stream the whole album HERE.

Glen Hansard - Rhythm And Repose
If you are familiar at all with the movie Once or the bands The Swell Season or The Frames then Glen Hansard should be a familiar name to you. Glen released his first solo album today and it is entitled Rhythm and Repose. The album is a collection of songs as quiet as the ones he wrote with The Swell Season, but his poweful voice fills the empty spaces. NPR has yet again provided a "First Listen" to the eager fans who want to hear what this new album has to offer. You can check that out over on the NPR Site.
Enjoy.

Givers - Tiny Desk Concert @ NPR
One of my favorite series is the unequivocal NPR's "Tiny Desk Concert", that features many fantastic indie bands playing three to four songs shoved behind a tiny desk somewhere amongst the NPR studios. Past Tiny Desk Concerts include Blue Sloth favorites such as The Tallest Man on Earth and Andrew Bird. Over the summer NPR had the Givers in to play a few highlights from there debut album In Light, which if you have not listen to yet, frankly, get your head in the game. It features the brilliant "Up, Up, Up" (included in the show). Furthermore I couldn't resist posting past Tiny Desk Concerts of two of most sensational singer songwriters, Adele and Josh Ritter. Enjoy, and for more of this incredible series head over to NPR.
Givers - "Meantime", "Up, Up, Up", "Atlantic".
Adele = "Someone Like You", "Chasing Pavements", "Rolling in the Deep".
Josh Ritter - "Temptations of Adam", "Lark", "Rattling Locks", "Pale Blue Eyes", "Kathleen".
