What do you get when you cross my favorite charity and one of my favorite songwriters, Kristian Matsson (The Tallest Man on Earth)? You get an awesome theme song for the Yellow Bird Project, which if you recall from a post of mine months ago is a charity based out of Montreal. Their mission is to have indie bands design a t-shirt that the Yellow Bird Project will produce and distribute with all proceeds going to the charity of the bands choice. I strongly encourage you check out the Yellow Bird Project and grab a couple tee's from bands like Bon Iver, Andrew Bird, The National, TV on The Radio and many more. But for now check out the video for "A Field of Birds", the theme song for the Yellow Bird Project by The Tallest Man of Earth.
You can also download the video and mp3 of "A Field of Birds" at the Yellow Bird Project.
Enjoy!

Yellow Bird Project
Thanks to Dan Mangan's tweet the other day I came across the Yellow Bird Project. The project was started by a couple university grads that, like Bryce and myself wanted to spread the word about indie music but also wanted to give something back. The Yellow Bird Project is a non-profit organization out of Montreal that commissions indie artist such as Bon Iver, Hayden, The National and Broken Social Scene to design t-shirts (American Apparel to!) that will be sold via Yellow Bird Project with proceeding going to various charities. I bought a couple t-shirts and a hoodie yesterday and I already want to buy some more. Head on over to Yellow Bird Project to get the full story and buy some shirts!
